and based on the archaeological data, many historians believed Assam has significance in even going back to ancient time.
In the year 1823 during the colonial period, the tea growth in upper Brahmaputra Valley was witnessed. Besides, not many people know that in 1953 coffee cultivation started in Assam making it the first northeastern state to grow coffee commercially. From the beautiful tea garden to the traditional rice and coffee cultivation, Assam is seen to be the symbol of natural beauty and pride.

Raised in the beautiful environment of Assam I witnessed the inspiring legacy and bountiful potential of this unique region. Having childhood in the backdrop of rolling tea gardens, golden paddy fields and colorful bio-diversity, I realize the superior qualities of produce of Assam.
For years, I sensed the potential of the real treasures of Assam – its flavored teas, its super quality rice, coffee and other such exquisite productions which were not being promoted as they should be. This became my task to alter this sort of narrative.
Fuelled by passion and pride for my own region, I embarked on a task of presenting the choice of Assam. By sheer hard work, creativity and passion of delivering whatever that is novel and unique of Assam, I am striving hard to carry forward the legacy of the productions related to this region of South Asia which should reach out to households and gain the recognition globally.

Products of Assam?

Tea, rice, coffee, etc are well grown in Assam as the state has a favorable condition for cultivation. The black fertile soil, tropical weather, plenty of water and source of energy, and flora contributes to the production of high-quality and sustainable production.
